It is so sad to lose such a caring person. I will really miss seeing him on tv. Watching a man with such love and compassion is truly a precious gift. He was awesome and my condolences to his family. I just hope they are sheltered from the cruel, black hearted people out there.

Steve Irwin had many gifts. He will be sadly missed in Australia and to the rest of the world. How is it when one simple man with an incredible passion can touch so many people including children with his love for the environment and yet have the respect and admiration of people world wide. It just goes to show how the human spirit is alive and well and no amount of negativity and fear given to us by world leaders every day will quell the fire of the human spirit
Look down on us from above Steve and give us all that passion for a more peaceful world.

he was the greatest man ever.he cared so much about the wildlife and all the animals,i have never stoped watching his show on animalplanet.whenever i heard i ran in my room and started to cry,i didnt even know hi but i felt so much sorrow.my thoughts go out to his family!we have lost someone special

I'm so distraught at the loss of such a globally respected wonderful Australian. Steve Irwin's work was a statement of true decent humanity bridgeing the gap between man and beast. He will be sorely missed and his shoes hard to fill, may he rest in peace but never forgotten,

you are the greatest and we are all saddened by the death.
when i watched the memorial i was crying like anything but it is the way life goes.
nobody will ever forget the life of steve and they will always miss him
i am mostly sad of the death and that Bob, steves dad, Terri and Bindy lost there dad.
