Paris Hilton Puppet Scandal E-mail

Scandal has erupted in celebrity circles as news that Paris Hilton is not real but is actually a life sized puppet has been leaked. Sources deep within the Hilton family empire have revealed that the phenomenon that is Paris Hilton is an elaborate hoax masterminded by a top team of puppeteers.

The Paris puppet is a high-tech version of an old-style marionette. A complex arrangement of invisible strings requires three operators to give the illusion of life-like movements and a ventriloquist provides speech.

After the Hilton family puppeteers introduced the Paris puppet to the celebrity party circuit she quickly became the darling of tabloid newspapers and women’s magazines. Fearing that a career solely as a party girl would not sustain the public’s interest for long, the Paris puppet dabbled in modelling and small film roles.

Early on, the ruse threatened to become undone when a malfunction in the invisible string system resulted in the Paris puppet’s head being held at an unusual angle and was captured on film by the paparazzi. Fortunately, no-one suspected and the Paris puppet head tilt has become a permanent feature of her appearances.

In the hugely successful ‘One Night in Paris’ documentary, traditional puppetry was enhanced with CGI animation and, to this day, co-star Rick Solomon is unaware that she is not a real person. Further acting roles followed with the TV series ‘The Simple Life’ and the 2005 re-make of the horror film ‘House of Wax’. Despite the technological advances in puppetry, the Paris puppet’s acting appeared wooden but this was not problematic as this was all that was expected from reviewers and fans.

Now that the truth has emerged, it remains to be seen whether the public’s fascination with the Paris Hilton phenomenon will continue or whether attention will be turned to living celebrities. The question of whether other puppets have infiltrated celebrity circles remains unanswered and will be the subject of extensive investigation by current affairs journalists worldwide.
