Fiona's Antarctic Adventure
Australian pianist and composer, Fiona Joy Hawkins, has released a video to accompany a song from her first CD, Portrait of a Waterfall.
The video was shot during an expedition cruise to the Antarctic and features Fiona in amongst a nursery of baby penguins and breathtaking views of Antarctica itself. Fiona teamed the track Winter Morning to with the video footage to recreate the atmosphere of this frozen world and to tell the story of its majesty, fragility and wilderness - to provide insight into what it is really like at the bottom of the world.
Fiona is a classically trained musician who composes and performs orchestrated classical piano music. On her first CD, Portrait of a Waterfall, described as music to dream to, Fiona tried to tell a story with each track. The calming effect of the music allowed the listener to become lost in the melody as an escape from the hustle and bustle of our day to day lives.
Fiona will release her second CD, The Angel Above My Piano, later this year and cool.com.au will be amongst the first to bring it to you.
