First off, the build of the Konica Minolta is very nice with a user friendly feel to it. The camera is thin and can easily slide into a pocket unlike some new cameras who sacrifice compactness for more advanced features. Its size is 3.3 x 0.9 x 2.2 in. and is dominated on the backside by a 2.5 in. LCD screen. The screen is very big in comparison to most digital cameras and helps the user see what he or she is taking a picture of with ease. The camera’s lens always stays flush with the camera, even when adjusting its 3X optical zoom. There is a sliding door that protects the lens as well as powers on and off the digital camera. The rest of the camera is strong and sturdy for its slimness and looks to be able to handle a few drops on the concrete.
Konica Minolta’s layout is very user friendly as well with the buttons in their appropriate places and a nice LCD screen to work off of. The screen is very sensitive and quick to respond to action. In fact, the camera can be turned on in one second and a photo can be taken within two seconds of powering on. This is extremely useful for quick snapshots albeit it may not be the shot you want if you take it within two seconds, but it will react quickly to your needs.
The screen is nice, the layout is nice, and the build is nice, what else is there to say. Other than the forgivable problem with the video (who takes videos with cameras?) the Konica Minolta is the camera for any tourist. Rating: 9.5 out of 10.
